Not long ago, Kushee Ravi’s first short film, Ikshana, which explored gender stereotypes and was directed by Prasanna VM, released online. The 15-minute film had the actress collaborate with Sridhar KS and Seetha Kote. Kushee is now set to do her next short film. This time around, she is a part of filmmaker Prasad Kanteerava’s Sangama Samagama, which pairs her with Shri.

The announcement, interestingly, came around the time that Prasad’s earlier work, the multi-lingual short film Thank You, was slated to release. The Shine Shetty-starrer will drop on PRK Productions’ official YouTube channel tomorrow (December 10). As per the trailer, Thank You follows the tale of the protagonist, who gets stuck in an elevator by himself and is not able to get help.

Sangama Samagama, is Prasad’s fifth short film and is, according to the maker, a comedy. He wrote on social media, “Sangama Samagama - A Humourous content which was funny enough on the script itself. The last short Tale which I am to Direct soon. Project#06 Short Film#05. Thank you to all of my team for joining your hands and supporting me on this project. I am definitely Sure! The viewers will enjoy this film. Thank you all and keep up the support!”

While Thank You has an indoor setting, for Sangama Samagama, Prasad is heading to the coastal belt of Karnataka. Kushee has been quoted as saying that she has been doing short films to improve her acting skills, as a lot of her projects have been stuck owing to the pandemic. Sangama Samagama, she says, will have her take on comedy as a genre and deliver fun punch lines, which is a first for her. For Shri, too, this will be his first time in a short film, which he says he took up because the script and his character excited him.
