Vijay Devarakonda is finally a relieved man as his new film Kingdom has ended as an above-average fare at the box office. He has now shifted his focus to a period drama being directed by Rahul Sankrityan of Shyam Singha Roy fame.

As per the latest update from one of the team members, Vijay has signed a film with star director Harish Shankar. Sithara Entertainments, which bankrolled Kingdom with Vijay Devarakonda, will produce this film on a massive scale.
Harish Shankar, who rose to fame with Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh, is now directing Ustaad Bhagat Singh with Pawan Kalyan. The film is nearing completion and will soon lock its release date. Once he is done with the biggie, he will direct Vijay's next.
A source close to the unit revealed to us that Harish came up with a very interesting storyline and narrated it to Vijay Devarakonda, who liked it and gave his nod. The project has been locked, and very soon, the makers will announce the film.
