Army Of The Dead trailer: Huma Qureshi makes her Hollywood debut with zombie flick

Back in 2016, two Bollywood divas Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Deepika Padukone had made their Hollywood debut. While Chopra appeared in Dwayne The Rock Johnson’s Baywatch, Padukone became a part of Vin Diesel’s xXx franchise. Joining the bandwagon, half a decade later, will be Huma Qureshi who is part of Zack Snyder’s Army of The Dead.

The upcoming movie’s trailer was released on YouTube on April 14. The film, like the name suggests, is about humans turning into zombies. To take it a notch higher, the film also introduces a zombie tiger fighting humans.

Qureshi happens to be one of the human survivors, who are left to fight the zombies for survival. Her role in the film is not yet clear. She had a blink-and-miss appearance in the three-minute trailer of the movie that has Dave Bautista in the lead.

Japanese actor Hiroyuki Sanada, in the role of casino boss Bly Tanaka, leads the team of humans and equips them with weapons to fight against the unexpected enemy – zombies that are smarter and faster.

Qureshi had announced her Hollywood debut on Twitter, writing, “Super proud to be a small part of this genius man’s vision @ZackSnyder always a fan and friend forever.”

For the uninformed, Snyder’s much-awaited cut of Justice League also released on HBO recently. Apart from Justice League and Army Of The Dead, Snyder also directed Man Of Steel.

Qureshi, on the other hand, is a popular face in the OTT world. She had previously appeared on the Netflix show Leila as the lead actress.

Army of the Dead is slated to release on Netflix on May 21.
