Artists are expanding without hesitation since barriers like geography or language are no longer an impediment to creativity. Mrunal Thakur made her Telugu film debut in Sita Ramam (2022), which starred Dulquer Salmaan. She is now getting ready for a major role in Nani's next film, which is still untitled and will be directed by a first-timer named Shouryuv. The Nani-starrer's muhurat shot will be on January 31. The actor has started practicing so that the dialect will flow naturally in the movie about the bond between a father and daughter.

During an interview with Mid Day, she spoke a few phrases in Telugu with perfect diction and pronunciation and said that everyone working on the project with her has been told to only talk to her in Telugu when she goes to Hyderabad to film. The actor claimed that while working on the movie directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, she fell in love with the Telugu language. Mrunal is hoping that her love of the language won't prevent her from learning more than just the dialogues.

She talks about the difficulties of making Sita Ramam, saying that she would have been able to improvise her performance and react to her co-actor's lines if she knew the language better. The actor begins by translating dialogue into English, then into Marathi, and finally into Telugu. Everything has to seem simple.

The locations for the filming of Shouryuv's directorial debut, which also happens to be Nani's 30th film in the business, are Hyderabad, Mumbai, Coonoor, and Goa.

Mrunal will also be in the comedy Aankh Micholi, which will also star Paresh Rawal and Abhimanyu Dassani. She will thereafter be seen alongside Ishaan Khatter in the war action movie Pippa. In the Hindi version of the 2019 Tamil film Thadam, she will be seen co-starring with Aditya Roy Kapur as a police officer. Alongside Huma Qureshi, she also finished Pooja Meri Jaan for Maddock Films.
