Nagarjuna's action-thriller The Ghost was the first biggie to have officially confirmed its berth for the Dasara release slot on October 5. The makers of the film have been prompt in raising the stakes and creating the right buzz among movie buffs with its promos. While the trailer ensured enough hype for the film, the launch of the first single, Vegam, furthered the momentum. Now, the focus of the team has shifted towards the pre-release event.
Earlier today, the makers confirmed that the pre-release event of The Ghost will be held in Kurnool on September 25 at STBC College Grounds. The cast and crew of the actioner will participate at the event. Sonal Chauhan plays the female lead in the film that also stars Gul Panag, Anikha Surendran in pivotal roles. The film is bankrolled by Suniel Narang, Puskur Ram Mohan Rao and Sharrath Marar under Sree Venkateshwara Cinemas LLP and Northstar Entertainment.
While Nagarjuna and Sonal Chauhan are cast as Interpol officers in the film, Gul Panag and Anikha Surendran play the roles of Nagarjuna's on-screen sister and niece respectively. Bharath and Saurab have come up with the songs for the film while Mark K Robin takes care of the background score. Mukesh G cranks the camera and Brahma Kadali is the art director. Dinesh Subbarayan and Kaecha are the action choreographers. Mohan and Venkateswara Rao Challagulla are executive producers.
The Ghost is the third release for Nagarjuna this year after two successful films - Bangarraju and Brahmastra. The Praveen Sattaru directorial will clash with three films at the box office on October 5. The only worrisome factor for The Ghost will be the tussle with Chiranjeevi's GodFather. The other two releases - Swathimuthyam and Ginna aren't expected to pose much threat to Nagarjuna's actioner.
