Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay seems to be on a signing spree, delighting his fans with consecutive project announcements. The latest buzz is that Vijay will be soon joining forces with DVV Danayya of DVV Entertainment, the banner which bankrolled the Oscar-winning global blockbuster RRR.

An official confirmation is expected soon. However, judging from the past instances, we can assume that Vijay will not be announcing any new projects until he completes The Greatest Of All Time.

When can we expect Thalapathy 69 update?

Vijay is known for keeping details about his upcoming films under wraps to maintain focus on the movie closest to release. For instance, leading up to the release of Varisu last year, there were minimal updates about Leo.

Following the completion of Leo, Vijay promptly joined the sets of The Greatest Of All Time. However, the filmmakers refrained from making a formal announcement, strategically directing attention towards Leo. It was only after the release of Lokesh Kanagaraj's directorial that the official announcement, accompanied by a video revealing the main cast, was unveiled. By that time, Vijay had already concluded multiple shooting schedules.

Given this pattern, it's safe to assume that updates on new projects may not surface anytime soon, as Vijay typically maintains secrecy until the right moment.

The Greatest Of All Time cast and crew

The Greatest Of All Time is written and directed by Venkat Prabhu. Speculations are rife about the project, including that it's a remake of Hollywood science-fiction Gemini Man. However, the filmmakers have neither confirmed nor denied this speculation.

Adding to the anticipation, the first-look posters revealed Vijay in a dual avatar, further fueling curiosity. For those unfamiliar, Gemini Man narrates the story of a retired government assassin, who finds himself tormented by a younger, cloned version of himself.

Another highlight of this project is Vekant's casting choices, which bring together favourites from 90s Tamil cinema. Besides Vijay, the film also stars Prabhudeva, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prasanth, Laila, Mohan, Jayaram, Ajmal Amir, Yogi Babu, and VTV Ganesh.
