Both Jaggesh and Darshan have been accused of possessing tiger claw pendants and the latest information is that concerned authorities have seized the jewellery to test its authenticity.
Only days after Varthur Santhosh was arrested by the forest department, similar complaints have now been lodged against Kannada actors Jaggesh and Challenging Star Darshan in relation to their possession of tiger claw pendants.
According to the latest development, officials from the forest department have reached the residences of both Jaggesh and Darshan to conduct a due inspection of the respective pendants/lockets. Both actors have come under the scanner after pictures of them wearing tiger claw pendants surfaced online following Bigg Boss Kannada Season 10 contestant Varthur Santhosh's arrest.
For the unversed, Varthur Santhosh was taken into custody from inside the Bigg Boss Kannada house on Sunday, October 21, after forest department officials confirmed that the pendant he wore was, indeed, made of a tiger claw. He was arrested for an alleged violation of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972.
Similarly, both Jaggesh and Darshan have been accused of possessing tiger claw pendants and the latest information is that authorities have seized the jewellery to test its authenticity. News reports share that while one team of forest dept. officials is conducting the said test, another team is currently inspecting his home in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bengaluru. Jaggesh's Malleswaram home, too, is being examined by another team of officials.
Incidentally, Jaggesh's old interview, wherein he declared that he wears a tiger claw pendant gifted to him by his mother, has resurfaced on social media. The senior actor is said to be out of town at the moment.
Well-known Kannada film producer Rockline Venkatesh, who is currently working with Darshan on 'Kaatera', too, has been accused of owning the illegal tiger claw pendant.
