After Veera Simha Reddy, Nandamuri Balakrishna reunites with his Akhanda co-star for a commercial

Nandamuri Balakrishna, after the humungous success of Akhanda, is on a roll as a talk show host (of Unstoppable with NBK) and has sustained his victorious streak with this week’s Sankranthi release Veera Simha Reddy (which soon streams on Disney+ Hotstar). While he commenced the shoot of his next with director Anil Ravipudi recently, he is on a break to take care of his nephew Tarakaratna’s health after his hospitalisation in Bengaluru.

While away from the hospital briefly, he’s found enough time to shoot for a commercial. Though the brand for which the ad is being shot, remains unknown, the leaked still from the shoot confirms that he’s teamed up with his Akhanda co-star Pragya Jaiswal for the same. He’s seen wearing a stylish off-white kurta and a dhoti in the commercial while Pragya has donned a dark green sari. They appear to be in the middle of an auspicious event for the sequence.

A few months ago, he’d filmed his first ever commercial for Sai Priya Constructions. Balakrishna is yet to officially confirm his project post his next with Anil Ravipudi - though sources suggest it may be the sequel to Akhanda or Aditya 369 (which may star his son Mokshagna) The star hasn’t announced if his talk show Unstoppable will have a third season yet. For Anil Ravipudi’s project, the female leads are Honey Rose and Kajal Aggarwal respectively.

Veera Simha Reddy is gearing up for an OTT premiere on February 23, Disney+ Hotstar announced today. The film directed by Gopichand Malineni featured Shruti Haasan, Honey Rose as the leading ladies with Duniya Vijay, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Lal forming the supporting cast. Y Ravi Shankar and Naveen Yerneni of Mythri Movie Makers bankrolled the film which released on January 12 for Sankranthi.
