On October 4, 2024, Yash Raj Films announced that Alia Bhatt and Sharvari's upcoming film Alpha is slated to hit the screens on December 25, 2025.
Announcing the news with a poster on Instagram, the makers wrote, "On Christmas 2025, #ALPHA will rise! Get ready for an action-packed holiday... 25th Dec, 2025."
Alpha will be directed by Shiv Rawail. It is the seventh film in Yash Raj Films' spy universe. The spy universe began with the Tiger franchise, featuring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. The first movie was Ek Tha Tiger and then Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan and Tiger 3 were released. Recently, we got War 2, by Ayan Mukerji.

Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela's movie is being directed by Anurag Basu. It was earlier scheduled for a Diwali 2025 release. Later, it was reported that the film got postponed and will be released in early 2026. But now, it is eyeing for Christmas 2025 release, though an official confirmation is still awaited
Meanwhile, Kartik is currently busy filming Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, a romantic drama directed by Satyaprem Ki Katha’s Sameer Vidwans. The film stars Ananya Panday in the female lead. The film is slated to release on February 13, 2026. Apart from this, Kartik also has Captain India, which was announced in 2021 with Hansal Mehta, but now revived with Shimit Amin directing.
