Dino Morea, who has been in the film industry for over two decades, is all set to make his Telugu debut with the upcoming spy thriller Agent. The movie stars Akhil Akkineni in the lead role and features Mammootty as one of the main characters. In an exclusive interview with OTTplay, Dino Morea shared his experience of working in a Telugu movie.

"When I was offered Agent, I thought it was an excellent opportunity. The film, the setup, the director, my co-stars, my producers, I thought it was the right opportunity to make my debut in Telugu," said Dino Morea.

Talking about the plot of the movie, Dino said, "The movie is about three agents. One agent is Mammootty sir, the other younger agent is Akhil and then they were looking for the third, and that's me. Firstly, to work with Mammootty sir was so amazing. And then when I understood my character is a RAW agent who has gone rogue and how he wants to take revenge on the system, which betrayed him and how a new recruit comes to try and stop him, I thought it was a nice action film. It was about manipulation, cat and mouse chase."

Dino acknowledged that his character was similar to John Abraham's Jim in Pathaan, which featured Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. "People will draw comparisons (between Agent and Pathaan) for sure. We are coming out one month after its release, people are gonna say that. If Agent had come out first, then they would have said, Pathaan is like Agent. That's ok. I hope they enjoy the film. They enjoy the character," he said.

When asked about how he got the role, Dino shared, "Surender Reddy, the director has seen my work in the Empire. He saw the way I played the character. He saw the madness in it. He saw the attitude and the look. And he thought I could definitely be the third agent. He obviously had the vision of the third agent and how he wanted to look. And when he saw me, he was convinced."

Agent is due in cinemas on April 28.
