aha takes the Netflix route, goes big on YouTube exclusives

Telugu streaming platform aha is planning to capitalise on its popularity across YouTube with exhaustive exclusive content revolving around its shows, films in the coming months. As a first, aha aired a 12-minute long 'on the go' episode hosted by popular Youtuber Nikhil Simha, who spoke to the lead actors of In the Name of God, Priyadarshi and Nandini Rai over a car drive. 

Nikhil Simha asked edgy questions about supposedly taboo topics with an uncanny sense of humour - from the earliest mistakes in their lives they wish they didn't commit to their first kiss to the awkwardness of shooting lovemaking sequences in front of the camera, among a few. The guest gave a peek into various facets of the show, from the enriching characterisation to the raw filmmaking and the many reasons why they related with the script. 

One of the more interesting moments in the episode was when Nandini Rai even tried to justify the murders committed by Meena from In the Name of God, the character she played in the show. The best part of the episode was however reserved for the ending, where the core plot of In the Name of God (a dead body hidden inside a vehicle) was integrated into the proceedings seamlessly. The episode was breezy, brief and entertaining and sets a good precedent for the streaming platform concerning its YouTube content.
