OTT platform Aha is all set for its next original film titled Ratha Saatchi, which roughly translates to 'Blood Witness'. The title was revealed on the occasion of the birthday of Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan today (November 7). And what's interesting is that the show itself has a connection with the legendary actor!

The title announcement video was revealed today by music composer GV Prakash Kumar. Taking to his social media handle, the musician wrote, "Best of luck team.. #RevoltBegins #RathaSaatchionAha #Jeyamohan @RafiqIsmail80  #AnithaMahendran @ahatamil @magizhmandram @turmericmediaTM @Pulse_ThumbRul#Kannaravi  @ActorHachu #Elango Kumaravel #Kalyan Master #Madras Charles ⁦@Nedhajii (sic)."

The video gives us a sneak peek of the film where you see a gun, handcuff and torch along with one of the most crucial books in social science, Karl Marx's Capital. Towards the end of the video, we see the title of the show in Kamal Haasan's own handwriting. The title card also shows the hammer and sickle symbol of the Communist party.

The film is an adaptation of a short story Kathaigal from the novel Venkadal, penned by writer Jeyamohan. A press release by Aha and Turmeric Media, which is making its entry into the OTT space, stated that a great deal of time and effort has been spent on crafting the screenplay that would enhance Jeyamohan's original story. Screenplay and direction of the film will be handled by Rafiq Ismail, who will mark his directorial debut with the project. The cast and crew will soon be announced.

For the last few days, the social media handle of Aha has been sharing a series of updates about the project. It looks like the web series revolves around many unsung heroes like Lenin Raghuvanshi, Charu Majumder, Medha Patkar, Rajendra Singh, Lakshmi Agarwal, Sunitha Krishnan, Appu, to name a few. The film has been bankrolled by Anitha Mahendran and S Disney.
