Aay features Jr NTR's brother-in-law, Narne Nithin as the main lead. The film was released on August 15, 2024, alongside two biggies Double Ismart and Mr. Bachchan. The industry trolled the makers for releasing a small film in such a competition. But as the makers believed strongly in their content, they started with evening shows once the hype surrounding the biggies came down.
The comedy caper started with a positive word of mouth and thanks to the flop talk of Double Ismart and Mr. Bachchan, Aay's collection picked up from day two onwards. The makers also did not leave things alone and promoted the film aggressively and made Aay a solid hit at the box office.
Aay is all set for its OTT release on September 12, 2024, and you can stream the film on Netflix. Ahead of the film's OTT release, we bring you a detailed update on how much the film made from its theatrical run. We at OTTplay have come to know that Aay has made Rs 13.6 crore worldwide in its full theatrical run.

Made under a budget of Rs 5 crore, Aay made double the money at the box office. We have also come to know that Netflix has bagged the rights for an amount close to Rs 9 crore.
With this, the makers have landed in solid profits. Allu Arjun's production house, Geetha Arts produced the film which was also supported by JTR and Mahesh Babu. Rajkumar Kasireddy and Ankit Koyya played key roles in this comedy which is based on the life of a man who gets rejected in love due to his caste.
Aay has a lot of comedy that has been showcased in a very clean manner. The presence of a common theme of caste-based romance was also showcased neatly.
