Bhairavam was one of the most awaited films in recent times as it had not one, but three popular Telugu stars making their comeback to Telugu cinema after a very long gap. The stars were Manchu Manoj, Nara Rohit, and Bellamkonda Srinivas, who played leads in Bhairavam.

Made on a high budget, Bhairavam was promoted on a very aggressive note by the makers. Vijay Kanakamedala of Nandhi fame directed the film, which was the official remake of the Tamil hit Garudan. Bhairavam was released on a massive note in the Telugu states and bagged mixed reviews at the box office.

Well ahead of the film’s OTT release, let’s see how much Bhairavam made at the box office during its theatrical run. As per the latest trade update, Bhairavam made a total of ₹16 crore net worldwide. The action drama was in theatres for close to two weeks and the news is that ZEE5 has backed the deal for a fancy price and will stream the film on OTT and also premiere it on Zee TV on the same day of July 18, 2025. This is a new practice that ZEE5 has been following in recent days. One of the summer 2025’s biggest hits, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, was also released on the same day on ZEE5 and Zee TV.
On the other hand, Manchu Manoj, who was missing from movies for a long time, benefited the most with Bhairavam. He played a special role in the film and his aggressive avatar helped the film in a big way. Coming to Nara Rohith, he too was away from films for over five years and played a mature role in the film.
When it comes to Bellamkonda Srinivas, he made his debut in Hindi with the film Chhatrapati, which ended as a huge flop. So, he took some time off and okayed the film titled Bhairavaaa, despite knowing the fact that it is a remake.
Aditi Shankar makes her Telugu debut with Bhairavam
The film is about three close friends who get into ego issues because of a land deal. All this has been showcased in a very interesting way by the director, Vijay Kanakamedala. The film has a lot of violence and several complained about the same. So, when the film lands on OTT, we need to see how it is received by the family audience.
Bhairavam is also special because the film marks the Telugu debut of Aditi Shankar, daughter of legendary filmmaker Shankar. She paired up with Bellamkonda Srinivas, and their on-screen and off-screen chemistry became a highlight during the promotions.
