Eleven is Naveen Chandra's long-delayed film that was in the making for quite some time. The cop drama hit the screens on May 16, 2025, in both Tamil and Telugu. Though the reviews were decent, Eleven did not make much of a mark at the box office. Now, with the film all set to stream on Aha from June 13, 2025, here’s how it fared theatrically.
Surprisingly, Eleven performed better in Tamil than in Telugu. As per the final box office collections, the film grossed Rs 6.8 crore across both languages. Nearly Rs 5 crore came from Tamil Nadu, while the remaining was from the Telugu states. This is unexpected, considering Naveen Chandra is more popular in Telugu cinema.
In the film, he plays a sincere cop investigating a murder case that unfolds through several twists and turns. Due to a lack of promotions in the Telugu states, many weren’t even aware of the film’s release. Even Naveen Chandra did minimal promotion in both languages. Despite this, Eleven managed to earn decent numbers in Tamil Nadu.
Aha has acquired the streaming rights for a fancy price and will stream the film in both Tamil and Telugu, helping the makers recover costs and enter the safe zone. Reyaa Hari, Shashank, Abirami, and Dileepan play key roles in the film, which boasts an engaging backdrop and solid thrills.
One of the major drawbacks, however, is the slow-paced narration by director Lokkesh Ajls. Such films may struggle in theaters but are well-suited for OTT viewing. Naveen Chandra feels that Eleven is one of the most underrated films in recent times and believes its true value will be recognized once it lands on OTT.
D. Imman has composed the music, and his background score has been widely appreciated. Aha, known for acquiring small-budget films, has added Eleven to its lineup. The film will also be available on OTTplay Premium for those who enjoy cop dramas. Stay tuned for more updates on this project.
