The third single from Jana Nayagan, Chella Magale, is now out! With just a day left for the much-awaited audio launch event of the film, the makers have released the song which has been sung by Vijay himself. Jana Nayagan is all set to release in theatres on January 9, 2026.

After Thalapathy Katcheri and Ooru Peru Varalaaru, the makers have released the third single from the upcoming movie Jana Nayagan. This song, a melody, explores the relationship of a man and girl child. Vijay has sung the song and the visuals show Vijay with a child artiste, sharing affectionate moments. Chella Magale is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and has lyrics by Vivek. This song further strengthens the rumours that Jana Nayagan is the remake of Telugu film Bhagavanth Kesari, which is also about an older man and his niece.
Meanwhile, Vijay along with other cast, crew of Jana Nayagan and prominent celebrities who have worked with Vijay, have landed in Malaysia. The audio launch event of the film is scheduled to take place in the Bukit Jalil Stadium, at 3PM (Malayasia time). A bunch of singers are planned to perform Vijay’s chartbusters from his career, given Jana Nayagan is the last film of actor Vijay.

Jana Nayagan is set to release in theatres on January 9. The film will be arriving a week prior to Pongal. Directed by H Vinoth, marking his first collaboration with the star, Jana Nayagan also stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, Narain and others. The film is edited by Pradeep E Ragav, and shot by cinematographer Sathyan Sooryan Isc. Prime Video has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film. The film will be competing at the box office with Parasakthi, the Sivakarthikeyan-starer period drama which will release on January 10.
