Only a few hours are left for Kriti Sanon's birthday and the actor has been gearing up for the release of her latest film Mimi. However, the team of the film has dropped a surprise not only to the actor but also her fans too. Yes, Mimi which was set to release on July 30, 2021, is streaming currently on Netflix and JioCinema. 

The film started streaming on these OTT platforms on July 26, at 6:30 PM. While making the announcement, Netflix also wrote on their Twitter page, "Aagayi hai Mimi expected delivery time se pehle. Guess you didn’t expect that? Neither did we. #MIMI IS NOW STREAMING!"

Kriti shared a video on her Instagram page where she is in chat with the team of Mimi. The actor wrote, "Mimi STREAMING NOW!!! Mimi went into labour early! Our baby couldn’t wait to see you all!!! Mimi streaming now on @netflix_in and @officialjiocinema !! Woooohhhhooooo!!! @laxman.utekar @pankajtripathi @saietamhankar @maddockfilms #Dinoo."

Earlier, during an interaction with a media agency, Kriti had spoken about Mimi and shouldering the film. She said, "The film happened at a time when I was craving to do a meaty part. I felt I was ready to take on a project and lead it, have it on my shoulders and take that responsibility."

The actor added that she loves how such a sensitive, emotional subject became an extremely entertaining script with a lot of humour in it. She also likes the way when they say something sensitive while making the audience laugh.

Mimi produced by Dinesh Vijan and JioStudios is directed by Laxman Utekar. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Sai Tamhankar, Supriya Pathak and Manoj Pahwa in important roles.
