Mirai is Teja Sajja's new film that ended as a smash hit at the box office. With the success, Teja is a new star on the block and has become a bankable name in Telugu cinema. To date, Mirai has clocked ₹141 crore net worldwide, as per the tracking portal Sacnilk. Of this, ₹92 crore has come from Indian collections. The fantasy drama made ₹74 crore from Telugu, ₹17 crore in Hindi, ₹92 lakh in Tamil, ₹63 lakh in Kannada, and ₹25 lakh in Malayalam. 

When it comes to overseas collections, Mirai made an impressive ₹33 crore and is still playing in a few theaters. Made on a budget of just ₹50 crore, Mirai is a case study on how to make films on a grand scale with a low budget.

All this was made possible because of director Karthik Ghattamaneni, who narrated the film in a very entertaining manner. The makers also benefited big time thanks to the OTT deal, as it was locked for a record price.
