The actor, who has aced many roles in the past, will be playing a movie star in the upcoming film. Kala is a 2021 film directed by Rohith VS. The psychological action film is about a bothersome youth Shaji, who is the son of a landlord father who is very much disappointed in him. Kala is about how the son gets into trouble after a set of labourers come to confront him about his wrongdoing from the past. The film also stars Divya Pillai, Lal, and others.

Forensic

Forensic is a psychological thriller directed by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan in their directorial debut. The film stars Tovino Thomas, Mamta Mohandas, Saiju Kurup, Renji Panicker, and Reba Monica John among others. As the title suggests, Forensic is about a group of officers who have to race against time to nab a serial killer who is targeting young girls.

Kalki

Kalki released in 2019 and stars Tovino Thomas, Shivajith Padmanabhan, Samyuktha Menon and Vini Vishwa Lal among others. After a cop dies by suicide over his inability to maintain peace in his jurisdiction, a new cop takes over with the aim to set everything right. The film is directed by Praveen Prabharam.

And the Oscar Goes To... is a 2019 Malayalam drama film starring Tovino Thomas in the lead role. The film is written and directed by Salim Ahamed and is about a passionate and upcoming filmmaker whose first film gets selected to the Oscars, from India. The film unfolds his travel towards the coveted award and the struggles he faces during the process. The film also features Sreenivasa, Anu Sithara, Lal, and others.
