With just one week left for the Oscars, Jr NTR may join Ram Charan and SS Rajamouli in the ongoing RRR promotions in America.
Telugu superstar Jr NTR in the wee hours of Monday left for America to take part in the Oscar award ceremony, which is due to take place on March 12. Tarak will join director SS Rajamouli, his co-lead Ram Charan, music composer MM Keeravani, cinematographer KK Senthil Kumar and other members of RRR's cast and crew.
With just one week left for the big event, Jr NTR may join the ongoing promotions in America. He was away from the Osacr spotlight due to his personal situation in India. His cousin Nandamuri Taraka Ratna passed away in February . The 39-year-old suffered an attack earlier this year during a road show in Kuppam in the Chittoor district. When he was rushed to a nearby hospital, he had no pulse and was revived after being administered Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and first aid. He was under treatment at a private hospital in Bengaluru. After fighting for his life for 23 days, Ratna passed away on February 18.
As Tarak and his family were mourning he stayed away from all the events. After performing the memorial services for Ratna, Jr NTR is off to the US.
Ahead of the Golden Globe awards, Jr NTR has made quite an impression on the US media with the way he presented himself. In Tarak's absence, Ram Charan also did a solid job with the promotions. He appeared on all major news channels in Los Angeles and created awareness about RRR, which was re-released last week in theatres across America.
RRR's global hit Naatu Naatu has been nominated for Oscars in the Best Original Song category. And the makers of RRR are doing everything to increase the chances of the film winning the coveted award.
Naatu Naatu will also be performed at the Oscars. Will Jr NTR and Ram Charan perform their world-famous hook step? It remains to be seen.
