The main cast and crew of Project K, touted to be the most expensive science fiction made in India, have reached California ahead of the San Diego Comic-Con festival . The pictures of Kamal Haasan, Prabhas and Rana Daggubati exploring the city have surfaced online.

"Good morning AmeriKa 馃嚭馃嚫 Ulaga Nayagan @ikamalhaasan in the streets of USA," tweeted Swapna Cinema, the sister company of Vyjayanthi Movies.

Rana Daggubati has also accompanied the cast and crew of Project K. He tweeted a picture of himself with Prabhas just chilling on the streets of Hollywood. "Just hanging out on the hills," he captioned the photo.

Rana Daggubati has been cheering for Project K even though he's not part of the cast. "That's the film we are really looking forward to in Telugu. That film, I think will break the boundaries that both Baahubali and RRR have done," Rana had said earlier while talking about the upcoming movie.

鈥淧ushing that boundary to the next edge. I am really looking forward to that film and it could really become a global film from Telugu," he added.

Project K is described as "India's first mytho-sci-fi epic." And it's being mounted on a massive scale on the futuristic sets built at the Ramoji Film City. Bankrolled by Vyjayanthi Movies, the producers are pulling all stops to ensure the movie catches the attention of movie buffs, not just in India, but across the world. And they have picked the San Diego Comic-Con festival to kick-start the first major ground promotions for the movie.

At the comic book convention, the producers of Vyjayanthi Movies will unveil the film's full title, teaser trailer and release date. Apart from that they will also host a panel called "This is Project K: First Glimpse of India鈥檚 Mytho-Sci-fi Epic." Even though the movie is futuristic science fiction, which is written and directed by Nag Ashwin, it is said to have taken themes from Indian mythological stories.

Kamal was the latest addition to the cast, which already has Prabhas, Deepika Padukone , Amitabh Bachchan, and Disha Patani.
