Ahead of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’s release, have a look at directors launched by Karan Johar

Ace Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar is celebrating his 51st birthday today. Today is a special day for him not only as a filmmaker, but also because his production house, Dharma Productions has clocked 25 years since its inception.

On this special day, Karan Johar launched the posters of his upcoming directorial, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in pivotal roles. This upcoming film is one of the most awaited films of the year. The film would mark his return as a director after seven years. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was his last directorial.

While we talk about Johar, let’s rewind and have a look at directors launched by him over the last few years.

2. Sharan Sharma directed Janhvi Kapoor-starrer Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl.

4. Bhanu Pratap Singh is the director of Vicky Kaushal's Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship.
5. Shashank Khaitan made his directorial debut with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and went on to direct its spiritual sequel Badrinath Ki Dulhania.
6. Paras Chakravarti directed Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan in 2020.
7. Vivek Soni worked on a film named Bawdi.
8. Amritpal Singh Bindra is known for Bandish Bandits, Girl in the City and Official Chukyagiri.
9. Karan Singh Tyagi: He will soon be directing a film on the life of a Tahsildar under the British government, named C. Sankaran Nair.
10. Anubhuti Kashyap: She recently directed Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Doctor G.
11. Kayoze Irani: He has directed the Netflix release Ajeeb Daastaans and is known for his performance in his debut film Student Of The Year.
12. Anand Tiwari: Tiwari made his directorial debut with the 2018 film Love Per Square Foot.
