Lanky hero, Rana Daggubati belongs to an illustrious film family and is in the news now as his younger brother, Abhiram Dagubati has made his debut into Telugu films with a romantic drama titled Ahimsa. The film is directed by veteran filmmaker Teja and was released on June 2nd worldwide.
Within just a few shows, a negative word of mouth spread and the film fell flat at the box office on day one itself. The numbers are out and are shocking to say the least. The romantic drama has made only 30 lakhs India wide on day one which is terrible and gives us an idea how badly the film was panned.
There are absolutely no takers for the film in the Telugu states and Ahimsa is out of several screens already. Abhiram Daggubati was appreciated for his sincere performance but the film has been panned by the general audience.
Prior to the release, Rana had designed special promotions for the film and he went all out to take the film deep into the audience. But sadly, all that has not helped the film. Ahimsa is a small-town love story that has Geetika as the female lead. Her chemistry with Abhiram looked good in the film.
Noted music composer RP Patnaik has composed music for this film. Abhiram was waiting to make his debut for a long time now but things got delayed due to the Covid crisis. Now that the film has been released, he has not tasted success on his debut and needs to work harder in the future.
