It has been two weeks since Aindrila Sharma passed away. Amidst the mourning, the actress’ mother Shikha Sharma raised an allegation against one of the doctors. On Saturday she joined a memorial event for Aindrila and said, “Aindrila had to go because of the ego of one or two doctors.” Sikha raised her finger to one of the lady doctors in the hospital for the demise of her 24-year-old daughter.

That doctor in question was the unit in charge of the private hospital in Howrah where Aindrila was admitted. Sikha accused her of driving her daughter to a deep coma with full responsibility. She said in another interview, “She killed one Aindrila, and will kill many more.” She alleged that the doctor did not pay attention to the advice of other doctors due to her ego. However, she said that she has no complaints against the other doctors, nursing staff, and hospital authorities.

It goes without saying that Shikha Sharma’s allegation created a buzz. Later, the hospital told a private news channel, “Aindrila’s family did not make any official complaint to us regarding this. We tried to contact them after hearing this. We will do whatever is possible in our capacity after talking to them.”

The hospital also termed the issue as ‘unfortunate’. They said that Aindrila’s family could have intimated them beforehand. They said, “We think there is some miscommunication regarding their accusation that outside advice was taken.”

Sikha Sharma gave an interview on a Youtube channel and said, “That doctor had been showing negative behaviour from the beginning. She also said something like it is not possible to bring back Aindrila.”
