Aishwarya R Dhanush, the popular director and playback singer, is gearing up for her next directorial with a Telugu language film. Aishwarya, who is the daughter of South Indian superstar Rajinikanth, and the spouse of Tamil star Dhanush, is famous for her directorial debut 3. Her next will be bankrolled by the popular production house Lyca Productions, which has the history of backing the most expensive film 2.0, starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar.
Beginning with the hit 2017 movie 3 which was released in Tamil and Telugu, Aishwarya could nail her name in the directional arena. The viral song ‘Why This Kolaveri Di’ sung by Dhanush, and the romantic drama starring Dhanush and Shruti Haasan, will not be that easy to forget by the audience, as it shook the Indian entertainment industry for a while. The highly-acclaimed Vai Raja Vai was the next directorial venture of Aishwarya, and the just-announced Tollywood venture will be her third movie donning the director’s hat. The film will be made in Telugu primarily, which also aims to cater for a pan-Indian audience.
Aishwarya shared her excitement about working with Lyca Productions on the occasion of the announcement and revealed the venture will be a family entertainer. Subaskaran and Mahaveer will be jointly producing the movie, and the details of the cast and crew are yet to be out. Sharing the happiness, Lyca Productions CEO Aashish Singh expressed their confidence about the project and added that they are thrilled to be on board alongside Aishwarya.
Meanwhile, team Lyca, who predominantly produces Tamil movies, is getting ready for a Bollywood debut with the Akshay Kumar starrer Ram Setu, besides backing the Aanand L Rai directorial Good Luck Jerry, which features Janhvi Kapoor in the titular role.
