Exclusive: Aishwarya Rai approached for a key role in Mahesh Babu-Trivikram's next, here's the exact update

Mahesh Babu is one of the biggest stars in the country and there is no denying the fact. He has a huge market in the south and all his films in the last two years have crossed the 100 crore mark at the box office. Now, he is busy with his new film SSMB28 which is being directed by star director Trivikram.

On the other hand, there was news going around that the makers had approached Aishwarya Rai to play a key role in the film. This news has been widespread in the Telugu media and made several excited. One of the close sources from the production house confirmed that they have not approached Aishwarya Rai to play any role in the film. But the source has confirmed that there is one such key role and Trivikram is in plans to rope in a big heroine from Bollywood. But Ash's name is not in the picture, confirms the source.

Aishwarya Rai was last seen in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan and has not signed any other film in the south. But her name getting associated with the Mahesh Babu film has made SSMB28 a talking point all over. Very soon, Mahesh will join the sets of the film and shoot for a lengthy schedule.
