Aishwarya Rai Bachchan shared intimate kisses with Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom 2. The actress was not spared, for she received legal notices after the scenes were showcased in the film. The notices claimed that she was iconic and shouldn’t have done those scenes. Her old interview, where she spoke about getting the notices, is now going viral.
What Aishwarya had said
The actress had shared to Daily Mail that she received several legal notices for her kissing scenes in Dhoom 2. “I did it once prominently in the movie Dhoom and it was so topical, and you’ll be surprised, I mean I actually got a couple of notices, legal notices, from some people in the country turning around and saying ‘You are iconic, you’re an example to our girls you have led your life in such an exemplary manner, they’re not comfortable with you doing this on screen so why did you?,” the actress had shared.
Uncomfortable with the scenes
The actress was rather uncomfortable with the kissing scenes. She was not even comfortable with the idea of it, since before Dhoom 2, Aishwarya had never worked in such scenes. She was unsure about how the audiences would react to the scenes and was right, since the actress was questioned on the scene which lasted for seconds, over the three-hour movie. She further shared that many actors are not comfortable with kissing scenes but do it to excite the audiences.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan’s chemistry was one of the most loved during the time. After Dhoom 2, they had also worked for Ashutosh Gowariker’s Jodhaa Akbar. They played lovers in that film too and their chemistry is loved to date. Hrithik and Aishwarya last appeared in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish and are yet to collaborate after 13 years.
On the work front, Hrithik will soon be seen on-screen for the first time opposite Deepika Padukone. They are a part of Siddharth Anand’s Fighter. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, on the other hand, was last seen in Ponniyin Selvan: Part Two.
