It's for a reason that Rajinikanth is known as the Superstar. On the occasion of Vijayadasami, his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth shared a picture of her father casually sitting at his home and looking at the phone with rapt attention. Rajinikanth is seen sporting a T- shirt and veshti. She also captioned the picture that when it comes to Rajinikanth, no frame can go wrong and that his face does not have a wrong angle. She captioned it, "#nofilter needed, nothing false, flawless A frame that can never go wrong..A face that can never have a wrong angle. #fatherlove Positive priceless picture perfect Hope all your days are as the above line states Wishing everyone a happy #vijayadhasami (sic)." The moment she shared the picture, fans went berserk and began sharing it widely.

It was only recently that a picture of Rajinikanth on the sets of his upcoming film Jailer did the rounds on social media. Rajinikanth is seen greeting the team while arriving at the set of the film. Jailer is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and this is the first time that Rajinikanth is teaming up with the Beast director. The shoot for the film is in full swing. Ramya Krishnan, with whom Rajinikanth had worked in Padayappa (1999) is making a comeback in a Superstar film after a long hiatus.

Music for Jailer is by Anirudh Ravichander. This is the third time that Anirudh is scoring music for Rajinikanth, after their previous association in Darbar and Petta.
Rajinikanth will be playing a jailer in the film as in the film's title and the first-look poster revealed a serious-looking Rajinikanth in the backdrop of a rundown factory. A meat-soaked cleaver dangles from a chain. The rest of the star cast includes Shivaraj Kumar (marking his debut in Tamil), Vasanth Ravi, Vinayakan, Yogi Babu and Redin Kingsley. We hear that Tamanaah is in talks for the film. Rajinikanth's last release was Annatthe which opened to mixed reviews. Similarly, Nelson's Beast, too, was trolled for certain scenes.
