Tinu Pappachan's Ajagajantharam on Sony LIV

Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil marked Tinu Pappachan's directorial debut. He soon helmed the enormously popular movie Ajagajantharam, which starred Antony Varghese in the title role. During its successful theatrical run, the action drama, which was penned by Vineeth Vishwam and Kichu Tellus, earned favourable reviews from audiences and Pepe fans. To the joy of moviegoers, rumours that suggested a sequel were also revealed last year. There has not been many updates, but according to current sources, the script is being worked on, and the project might start by the end of 2024 or next year.

A small town named Aranjali, which is busy with a local temple festival, is the setting for Ajagajantharam. Everything descends into total disorder when a group of mahouts and a gang of trouble-loving locals brawl. However, the mahouts end up infuriating both a notorious criminal and the local residents. Arjun Ashokan, Chemban Vinod, Lukman Avaran, Sudhi Koppa, Sabumon, Anil Nedumangad and Jaffer Idukki play supporting roles in the movie. The film has a number of heated scenes with well-choreographed action sequences, which is highly regarded by action movie fans.
