Ajaneesh B Loknath has never composed music for a Darshan movie so it would be interesting to see how the former treats a 'mass' project such as 'Devil: The Hero'.
It emerged a while ago that Milana Prakash and Darshan's film was formally launched at a muhurtha ceremony and the film will carry the title 'Devil: The Hero'. Leading man Darshan, Milana Prakash, the producers and other core members of the team were present at the launch at Bengaluru's Dodda Maha Ganapati Temple. Devil: The Hero, we hear, is set to go on floors once the Challenging Star Darshan wraps up the shoot of Kaatera, his period film with Tharun Kishore Sudhir.
The pictures from this special ceremony are now being circulated on social media where a few eagle-eyed fans have spotted something very interesting. Amid the small crowd of team members is music composer Ajaneesh Loknath who is coyly standing in the proximity of Darshan and Milana Prakash. So, although there is no formal announcement about the Kantara composer's involvement, it seems confirmed that Ajaneesh Loknath will be part of 'Devil: The Hero'.
This would also mean that this will be the maiden occurrence of Ajaneesh scoring music for a Darshan film. A majority of Darshan's films have featured either V. Harikrishna or Arjun Janya as composers but it would seem that Milana Prakash wants to try something different as far as the sound is concerned.
Ajaneesh Loknath, of course, burst onto the scene with his unconventional compositions and arrangements which, at the time, weren't necessarily part of the mainstream ethos of Kannada cinema. His work in more recent films like Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare, Banaras, Kantara and others has set the bar high and it would be quite interesting to see how he treats a 'mass' project such as 'Devil: The Hero'.
