Ajay Devgn: I am a director at heart, have so many more movies to make

Ajay Devgn has impressed fans with his latest directorial, Runway 34 co-starring Amitabh Bachchan. Ajay, who donned the caps of actor, director and producer for the movie, has now opened up about his directorial aspirations for the future. 

Talking to Times of India, the actor-director said, “I’m a director at heart and of course, I also love acting. Thirty years in the business and I have so many more movies I need to make,”

Talking about the movie, he said that he believed in the project with all his heart and knew that it was not going to be an easy movie to make. He added that the idea of an aviation thriller and dabbing in a genre Indian cinema has not seen was a challenge. 

The movie makes use of VFX for making adverse weather conditions and more on screen and the director also talked about this. He said that the effort that went into making these got noticed and that the scenes which involved the aircraft cockpit had finesse. Ajay further shared all the appreciation the movie was getting with the creative and VFX studio team.

With Ajay directing, starring and producing, Runway 34 also stars Boman Irani, Rakul Preet Singh, Aakanksha Singh, and Angira Dhar in important roles. The movie hit theatres on April 29 and received mixed reviews.
