Ajay Devgn was once arrested for possession of weapons and the twist in the tale will leave you in splits – Read on

Vindu Dara Singh and Ajay Devgn have been close friends for quite some time. Recently, in an interview, Vindu shared one of the most hilarious yet shocking incidents from their past. The actor took a trip down memory lane to a time when Ajay and Vindu, along with their group of friends, were heading to a Holi party and decided to grab some drinks before that.

Ajay Devgn Was Once Arrested For Possession Of Weapons

Vindu shared that as they were going to get some drinks, they were stopped by the police, and later, they were taken to the police station when the inspector found weapons in their jeep. In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Vindu explained that he tried to convey to the cops that they were props for a film that Ajay's father, action director Veeru Devgan, was working on. However, he couldn’t convince them.

During the conversation, he shared, “It was a Holi party, and we were in college. Ajay Devgn was driving the jeep, and he said, ‘Let’s go to Bandra.’ So we went to Bandra, and while going to Carter Road, we felt like drinking beer. We were four or five guys who got off and went inside the wine shop, bought the beer, and came back. The police van was right there, and the police were looking at us like, ‘Who are these guys in the jeep?’”

He further added, “They arrested us. One of the guys said, ‘Sir, he is fight master Veeru Devgn’s son. This guy is Dara Singh’s son. When two or three times the same names were taken, the police asked us to call Randhawa’s son to the station, who was a wrestler.”

Vindu, while sharing this incident, recalled that as soon as the police asked them to call Randhawa’s son, they did so, and upon his arrival, the police realised that Ajay and the group were telling the truth, and the weapons were indeed props for shooting.

For the uninitiated, on the work front, Ajay Devgn is currently enjoying the positive response he is receiving for his horror thriller ‘Shaitaan’, co-starring Jyotika and R. Madhavan. The actor is also looking forward to the release of Rohit Shetty’s cop drama, ‘Singham Again’.
