Ajay Rao to lead the cast of heist thriller Bank of Bhagyalakshmi

Actor Ajai Rao has been choosing varied kinds of roles over the past few years and seems to have grown particularly fonder of the thriller genre. The Krishna Talkies actor, who made his mark in the Kannada Film Industry through his stints in the romance and drama genres, will now be seen headlining a rather intriguing project titled Bank of Bhagyalakshmi. What’s been touted as a thriller centred on a bank heist, Bank of Bhagyalakshmi will be helmed by debutant Abhishek and the project was officially announced recently along with the first-look poster.

The poster features a plethora of characters whose faces are covered, or rather behind, animal masks of a different kind. Each of these characters carries a weapon of some kind to suggest that they mean business and the overall vibe of the poster is reflective of the comedy-crime genre of the film. 

Bank of Bhagyalakshmi will be produced by H.K. Prakash of RangiTaranga fame and this would be his fifth production venture under the Sridevi Entertainers banner. H.K. Prakash, having also produced films like Katha Sangama and Avane Srimannarayana, is bankrolling yet another thriller which comes in the form of Spooky College, starring Kushee Ravi and Vivek Simha and directed by Bharath G.

As far as the shooting of Bank of Bhagyalakshmi is concerned, director Abhishek and the team are keen on taking the film on floors by January 2023. Judah Sandy will score the music with Abhishek G. Kasaragod handling cinematography, and Tejas R. coming on board as the editor.

Ajai Rao, whose most recent release was Shokiwala, will be seen next in the upcoming romantic comedy Dil Pasand, starring Darling Krishna, Nishvika, and Megha Shetty.
