Ajith is known to treat his co-stars with great respect and shower them with special gifts. He recently had a special gift in store for his Thunivu co-star John Kokken and it was a stunt protection kit. John Kokken shared pictures of him wearing the kit and thanked the actor on his social media handle. He wrote, "My Superpower stunt protection Kit gifted by My SUPERHERO Ajith Kumar Sir. Thank you Ajith Sir (sic)." John is said to be playing the prime antagonist in the film and the buzz is that their face-off scene will be an interesting one.

John Kokken calls himself a huge fan of Ajith and the duo had earlier worked together in Veeram. The actor had stated that he had learnt about cinema from Ajith and thanked Ajith on Teachers Day as well. He wrote on his social media handle, "From watching you in BILLA to working with you in VEERAM &  working with you again in #ak61 ,it's been a long journey. I am grateful to God for meeting you, knowing you and learning from you in this lifetime & I shall always love you Ajith Kumar Sir. #HappyTeachersDay2022 (sic)."

He had added, "Thank you for welcoming me the very first time and always with your humility and smile. Thank you for the respect you gave me even when I was a nobody. Thank you for guiding me when I was a novice in the film industry and had no clue about anything (sic)."

Later, during the promotions of his film Poikkal Kuthirai, John was seen wearing a T-shirt that had Ajith's picture on it and had stated that all that he had achieved in the industry was courtesy Ajith.

Thunivu, helmed by H Vinoth, is all set to hit screens on the occasion of Pongal. The film, bankrolled by Boney Kapoor, will take on Vijay's Varisu, which is also likely to release on the same day.
