Rituparna Sengupta went to the CGO complex after being summoned by the Enforcement Directorate for her alleged involvement in the ration scam. The actress was interrogated for almost five hours. The actress cooperated with the ED. Rituparna told this after coming out of ED’s office. Now, ED sources say that Rituparna wants to return Rs 70 lakh.

According to the initial reports, the ED officers summoned Rituparna based on the information related to bank transactions. Rituparna could not attend the first time. She emailed them saying that she could not go as she was abroad at that time and she would attend after returning to India. Accordingly, she went to the ED office on June 19.

Rituparna talked with the officers for hours. “I completely cooperated in the investigation. They wanted some documents and I gave them. I can not say anything more right now,” the actress told the media while stepping out of the ED office after the interrogation. Now it is heard that the actress wished to return seven million during the interrogation. ED sources say that the officers assume that the money came to Rituparna’s bank account from a person indicted in the ration scam.

Previously, Rituparna was interrogated by the ED in 2019 for her alleged involvement in the Rose Valley scam. Rose Valley once produced several Bengali films and in some of them, Rituparna acted. At that time, Rose Valley chief Goutam Kundu got acquainted with Rituparna, according to the ED reports.
