Speculations were rife that Rajathanthiran actor Veera was part of Ajith's upcoming film, which is tentatively being referred to as AK61. Now, it has been confirmed that the actor is indeed part of the film, directed by H Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor. It seems Veera has completed shooting for his portions, if his recent Instagram post is to go by. In the post, the actor has called Ajith a positive influence in his life and has shared his admiration for the senior actor.

Sharing a picture with Ajith, Veera wrote, "It took me spending quite a few days with this man to realise that it takes a whole lot more than just good looks and being a gentleman to reach where he has. It’s taken years of blood, sweat, respect, hardwork, drive, integrity and confidence, for this one man to become a phenomenon. Dearest AK Sir, if ever our paths don’t cross again, I’d like to tell you that you have been a very positive influence in my life and in the days we spent together you did live and let me live. Wishing you the best in life always and that’s just what you wish for everyone around you. Love you Sir! It’s been an honour (sic)."

The film has Manju Warrier playing the leading lady. The rest of the star cast includes Samuthirakani, John Kokken, Nayana Sai to name a few. Music for the film is by Ghibran. Nirav Shah, who had earlier cranked the camera for Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai, will be in charge of the cinematography. This is the third time that the trio-producer Boney Kapoor, actor Ajith and director H Vinoth are coming together for a film. Their previous films include Nerkonda Paarvai (remake of Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee-starrer Pink) and the action entertainer Valimai.
