Akaal: The Unconquered (2025) is a Punjabi historical action-drama set in the 1840s, written, directed, and led by Gippy Grewal. The film follows Sardar Akaal Singh as he rises to defend his village against ruthless invaders, Jangi Jahan (Nikitin Dheer) and Kattro (Mita Vashisht), in the turbulent aftermath of Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s death.

Set in 1840s Punjab after the death of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Sardar Akaal Singh (Gippy Grewal), a fearless warrior who rallies his village against the brutal invaders Jangi Jahan (Nikitin Dheer) and his sister Khatroo (Mita Vashisht). When a fragile ceasefire breaks down, the village stands up to defend their land, symbolising the courage, resilience and spirit of the Sikh warriors.

This film explores the unwavering faith, honor, and fighting spirit of Sikh warriors, demonstrating the unity of the community against adversity.

The film earned Rs. 9.20 crore (India gross), as per Sacnilk and managed Rs. 7.79 crore (India net). Akaal minted Rs. 9.20 crore worldwide.
