Akhanda is Balakrishna's new film that was postponed at the last minute due to financial reasons. But ever since it was released on December 12, 2025, it has started with a bang and rocked the box office. Right from the premiere shows, Akhanda 2 made impressive numbers.

The action drama has completed three days of its run and has crossed the Rs 60 crore mark, as per the tracking portal Sacnilk. Despite the mixed reviews, Akhanda 2 has made solid numbers at the box office, and that shows the kind of craze Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu's combo has among the Telugu audience.
After making Rs 16 crore on day two, Akhanda 2 made Rs 17 crore on day three. However, Akhanda 2 will be tested big time now that the weekdays have begun. The makers have started post-release promotions, and this should help the film in the Telugu states.
When it comes to the US collections, Akhanda 2 has grossed $750K to date, as per M9 News. These are decent collections, but are less considering the hero's craze.
Samyuktha Menon played the female lead in this film, which also had Harshali Malhotra in a key role. Akhanda 2 is the sequel to Akhanda, now streaming on OTTplay Premium. The second part was made on a budget of Rs 150 crore, and the film has a long way to go before getting into the safe zone.
The best part is that there are no big releases until the first week of January 2026, and the multiple low-budget films releasing in the coming days will pose no threat to the Balakrishna starrer.
Netflix has bagged the digital rights to the film for a fancy price and will stream it in the first week of January 2026. For now, Akhanda 2 has started with a bang.
