Akhanda 2 is one of the most-awaited Telugu films in recent times. Post the success of Akhanda, director Boyapati Sreenu and Balakrishna have teamed up for the fourth time for this sequel, which is done with its shoot and slated to hit the screens on December 5, 2025.

On the other hand, we at OTT Play were the first ones to reveal that the makers of Akhanda 2 were demanding big bucks for the OTT deal. Close to Rs 100 crore was being demanded by the makers, and there was a lot of competition for the digital rights.
But it looks like big players like Amazon have backed out of the deal, as the prices were too high. We have now come to know that Netflix has bagged the digital rights of Akhanda 2. The update is that the makers came to terms with their demands and finally agreed to a much lower price than what they were expecting.
Akhanda 2 has Aadhi Pinisetty in the role of the main villain. Pragya Jaiswal plays the female lead, and some popular actors will be seen in key roles. SS Thaman is composing the background score for this film, which has been made on a massive scale.
Balakrishna plays a double role in this film, which will showcase him in a fierce avatar. The first song has already created a sensation of sorts and very soon, a solid mass number featuring Balayya and Samyuktha Menon will be out soon.
So far, the first look teaser, which was revealed on Balakrishna‘s birthday, impressed one and all. One of the unit members says that the VFX part is being done as of now, and the rest of the dubbing and other post-production formalities are completed.

When it comes to Boyapati films, Balakrishna always gives a special performance, and in all his previous films with the director, he was seen in crazy roles that ended up becoming solid hits at the box office. So there is a massive buzz for Akhanda 2, which also has Sanjay Dutt in a key role.
