Turns out the Umang 2023 night turned out to be a hotbed for reunions and, to be transparent about it all, promotions. While there were stars walking the red carpet, including Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, and others to salute the Mumbai Police, there were also film reunions and spottings happening at the venue. While Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol had a moment on the red carpet as they had a mini "Animal" reunion, Akshay Kumar marked his attendance with a video also featuring Tiger Shroff giving a build-up to "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan."

For the uninitiated, Akshay and Tiger are joining forces to star in the remake of the hit "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan," which starred Amitabh Bachchan with Govinda and was directed and written by David Dhawan. The movie has been in the making for a while now. The makers have already shared the release date and even some posters and a teaser before they went on floors. The remake is being directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, who last directed Shahid Kapoor’s "Bloody Daddy."

Akshay Kumar took to Instagram and shared a reel of him and Tiger Shroff from Umang 2023. The two can be seen indulging in a conversation as they walk. The actor used the titled track of "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" in the background. The caption for the same read, “Always fun catching up with my Chote Miyan, @tigerjackieshroff, be it for Umang, volleyball, or #BadeMiyanChoteMiyan 😁 In theaters this #Eid2024.” Other videos also show that the two entered the stage of Umang standing in a police van, and the audience went gaga over them. The internet is full of reactions to the same.

Meanwhile, talking about the film with Indian Express, Director Ali Abbas said, “I am delighted to be an integral part of such a big franchise. "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" is very close to the audience’s heart, and bringing all the entertaining elements in this mass entertainer for the audience was a tough and enjoyable experience. On top of all, having slated its release for EID 2024, it will definitely be a treat for the audience to enjoy the festival with power-packed entertainment!”

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is also working on "Welcome 3," titled "Welcome To The Jungle," which stars a village. The cast of the film went on floors this month and has completed a schedule. They are expected to return to the sets in February 2024. "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" is set to release on Eid 2024.
