Akshay Kumar announces Bell Bottom in 3D, film to hit the big screens this month

After announcing the theatrical release date of Bell Bottom, Akshay Kumar has shared another interesting news regarding the film. The upcoming espionage thriller will be releasing in 3D format on the big screen. Akshay took to his social media pages and teased about it by sharing a video along with the announcement. The Ranjit M Tewari film is shot entirely in the UK during the coronavirus pandemic and also features Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Lara Dutta Bhupathi in pivotal roles.

While sharing the video, Akshay wrote on his Instagram page, "Poore feel ke saath thrill experience karna on 19th August. #BellBottom also arriving in 3D. #BellBottomIn3D."

Bell Bottom is slated to release on August 19, 2021, and marks the return of movies on the big screen after a gap of a few months. It is set to be Akshay's return to the big screen after nearly two years as his last theatrical release was Good Newwz which was released in 2019.

However, the actor's one film that is, Laxmii opted for an OTT release on Disney+ Hotstar. 

Meanwhile, Bell Bottom is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh along with Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani. The script is penned by Aseem Arrora and Parveez Shaikh.

This film marks Akshay's first outing with Vaani and her first non-YRF film. The movie reunites Kumar with his previous co-stars Huma and Lara after many years.

Adil Hussain and Denzil Smith are also a part of the supporting cast.

Meanwhile, after wrapping the shoot, Akshay had given out a statement to Variety regarding filming during the pandemic. The actor had said, "We were extremely glad to be able to start shooting for Bell Bottom after the long lockdown. I hope this encourages film industries globally to do what they do best and start entertaining audiences again."
