As per reports, Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, along with director Subhash Kapoor, have been issued summons by a civil court in Pune for allegedly disrespecting the judiciary in their upcoming film, Jolly LLB 3. The summons were issued following an application filed by lawyer Wajed Rahim Khan. The court has ordered the three to appear in person at 11 am on October 28.

According to lawyer Wajed Rahim Khan, the film mocks the legal system and disrespects the proceedings of the court. In the petition, he objected to the negative portrayal of the legal profession and expressed concern over a scene in which judges are called "mama," which is slang.
Speaking to ANI, he said, " There should be respect for the lawyers. That is why I filed a petition in the court, that whatever they have shown about the advocates and the judges is wrong... I filed a petition in the Pune court. And the court has asked Akshay Kumar, Arshad Walsi and the director to be present."
Meanwhile, the complaint was originally filed in 2024 after the release of the film's first teaser. Another teaser of the film, which was released last week, gave the first glimpse of the clash between the two Jollys starring Akshay and Arshad.
