Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez's Bachchan Pandey gets a new release date in 2022

Soon after Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi got a release date, Jacqueline Fernandez announced the release date for his other upcoming film, Bachchan Pandey. The actress took to Instagram to announce that the film will release in 2022.

"Sajid Nadiadwala's Bachchan Pandey and his gang is all set to see you in cinemas near you on 4th March 2022," the actress wrote while making the announcement. The movie also stars Kriti Sanon and Arshad Warsi in pivotal roles.

Bachchan Pandey is helmed by Farhad Samji. While the first look of this film released and became quite popular, there hasn't been much update on the movie post that.

However, the makers have already announced that the project is a remake of the 2014 Tamil film Veeram. Starring Ajith and Tamannaah in the lead roles, the film was lauded by critics and audiences alike.

While Veeram was already dubbed in Telugu and Hindi as Veerudokkade and Veeram The Powerman respectively, it was also remade in Telugu as Katamarayudu and in Kannada as Odeya.

Apart from Bachchan, Akshay Kumar's movie Prithviraj is also slated for Janurary 21, 2022 release. His Sooryavanshi, co-starring Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn, will release this Diwali, soon after theatres reopen in Maharashtra.
