Today, Akshay Kumar posted the adjoining photograph on social media. The actor was dressed in a white shirt and a black coloured short pants and had a broom in his hand. Next to him was a dustbin. The actor was seen doing his bit to clean up the beach. No… this was not a shooting for an ad or a film. The fact is that, Akshay Kumar was doing his bit to clean the country as a part of ‘Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan'. 

Akshay Kumar, after posting the photograph, captioned the post as, “Cleanliness is not just about physical spaces, it is a state of mind. Being out of the country couldn’t stop me from paying a tribute to Swachhata Abhiyan. So I would say wherever you are, do your bit to keep your space, and mind, clutter free. #SwachhataHiSeva”.

For the unversed, the day of ‘Swachh Bharat Diwas’ or ‘Swachhta Diwas’ is observed every year on October 2 on the auspicious occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. And, during this day, one can see the politicians, celebrities and common man taking part in cleaning the country. These cleaning tasks range from sweeping the ground, collecting garbage and keeping them aside in the bin and many similar tasks. Besides Akshay Kumar, there were many other celebrities who had shown their support to the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan'.

On the professional front, Akshay Kumar will be seen in the most awaited film ‘Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue’. The film’s trailer has already been released and has garnered an extremely positive response from everyone. Besides Akshay Kumar, the film also stars Parineeti Chopra as the leading lady. Besides Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra, the film also stars the veteran actor Kumud Mishra, Pavan Malhotra, Ravi Kishan, Lankesh Bhardwaj, Varun Badola, Dibyendu Bhattacharya and others.

The film ‘Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue’ is based on the daredevil and selfless mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill, who was instrumental in the rescue of many miners who were trapped in Raniganj Coalfields.
