Last month, Akshay Kumar announced that his upcoming action-thriller flick Bell Bottom will release across theatres worldwide on July 27. However, the release date has changed now and it is yet not confirmed when the Indian cinema halls are reopening yet. Reports confirm that Akshay fans across the globe will be able to enjoy the film in 3D soon.
A source close to the development told Pinkvilla that the entire team of Bell Bottom including Akshay Kumar, the Bhagnani’s (producer) as well as director Ranjit Tewari felt that the highly-anticipated film makes for an ideal theatrical experience for the audiences. “They started conversations with the multiple stakeholders and the entire film is now being readied as a big screen entertainer in 3D and they are also working on enhanced sound experience for the viewers,” the source revealed.
The source also informed the tabloid that the makers are now looking to release the movie during the Independence Day weekend on August 13 and the entire team is hopeful that cinema halls will open across the country by the time Fast and Furious 9 releases on August 5. “One will get an exact clarity once the state government of Maharashtra and some other key markets announce reopening of cinema halls,” the source further added.
The espionage thriller film was one of those first movies shot in the middle of the pandemic under strict protocols in the UK. The Ranjit Tiwari directorial stars Akshay, who will play a cop on a mission along with Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi in significant roles.
