Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan advance booking is now open in the UAE. The film will release there on April 10, while Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan is already out. While the first reviews of Maidaan were out and the people there seemed to enjoy the film, there seems to be a contrasting opinion about Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The advance ticket sales have gone down drastically on day two of the film’s release in UAE.
BMCM day 1 advance sales in UAE
502 tickets were sold on April 10 in UAE. The gross collections for the day were USD 8.03k, which is approximately INR 6.67 lacs. While the opening for the film was good, that was not the case on the second day.
BMCM day 2 advance sales in UAE
On the second day, the film sold merely 159 tickets. This is nearly four times the drop from day one. The gross collections for the film on the second day are USD 2.5k, which is INR 2.08 lacs.
Maidaan performance in UAE
Early reports state that the UAE audiences did like watching Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan on the big screen. This has given the film a major boost and could probably be why the sales for BMCM fell on the second day. Nonetheless, the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial has not released in theatres yet, so it is too soon to judge. After its release, one will be able to tell which movie worked better there.
Early reports from India
The advance bookings for both Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan are now open in India. It appears that people are showing preference towards the Akshay Kumar-starrer over Ajay Devgn’s. Seats are almost sold out in a few theatres and generally, the buzz for BMCM is better over Maidaan. However, it is too early to say which movie will work better on day 1. April 10 will decide the fate for both the movies, especially Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
