Mission Raniganj has been picking up on day two of its release. Akshay Kumar’s film underperformed on its opening day and reportedly, many shows were also cancelled owing to the low footfalls. However, word-of-mouth has brought respite for the film. As many as 5180 tickets were booked in an hour, thus hinting that the film will have a much better day two than day one.
What went wrong?
A report on Adda Today has shared that shows for Mission Raniganj were cancelled on day one due to ‘absymal’ Box Office. Many are of the belief that Mission Raniganj was not promoted well enough. The movie is loved by the critics and audiences alike. However, since many did not even know what the film is, they did not book tickets for it. Those who saw it, recommend watching the film.
How did the numbers change?
The numbers have double up from day one. Viewers who saw the film have recommended others to watch the real story. Thus, the tickets booked on day 1 were approximately 2,200 but on day 2, it jumped to as much as 5,180 tickets in an hour. This could also be because it is a weekend and people are excited to watch a new film starring Akshay Kumar in theatres.
