Dhurandhar has already completed one month of release, and the film is still going strong at the box office. In the film, Akshaye Khanna's portrayal of Rehman Dakait received phenomenal responses, especially the FA9LA song sequence. But towards the end, Rehman was killed by Ranveer Singh's Hamza, and now a report shared that Rehman will be seen in Dhurandhar Part 2. Here's how!
Pinkvilla reported that Akshaye Khanna's presence in Dhurandhar 2 will be limited, and he will be shown in a couple of flashback scenes. These were shot during the film’s initial schedules. “There is no additional filming happening with Akshaye Khanna at the moment. His portions were wrapped earlier and are part of key flashback moments in the narrative,” a source added.
Meanwhile, post-production for Dhurandhar 2 is in full swing, with director Aditya Dhar currently locked in on the trailer cut. The makers are trying to get the trailer released in late February. “Aditya is focused on delivering a trailer that packs a punch,” the source said.
Adding to this, the source revealed, “Shashwat Sachdev has simultaneously begun work on the film’s background score. Both sound and visuals are being treated as top priority.”
Dhurandhar is a 2025 Indian spy-thriller about a RAW agent, Hamza (Ranveer Singh), who goes undercover in Karachi's underworld to destroy a terrorist network linked to the ISI, led by crime lord Rehman Dakait (Akshaye Khanna) and ISI officer Major Iqbal (Arjun Rampal).
The plot follows Operation Dhurandhar, an anti-terror mission spearheaded by IB Director Ajay Sanyal (R. Madhavan).
