Ala Vaikunthapurramulo recently completed two of its release and the entire team went back in time to reminisce about their shoot experiences. The story revolves around Bantu, who shares a bittersweet relationship with his father. When he realises the dark truth behind his upbringing and birth, he makes his presence felt in the family that was originally supposed to be a part of. Starring Pooja Hegde as the female lead, the star cast of the entertainer also included Tabu, Jayaram, Sushanth, Nivetha Pethuraj, Murali Sharma, Sachin Khedekar and Samuthirakani to name a few.
The film, loosely inspired by the Telugu hit Inti Guttu in the 1960s, had music by Thaman whose numbers like Samajavaragamana, Butta Bomma, Ramuloo Ramulaa turned out to be massive chartbusters. Ala Vaikunthapurramulo, jointly produced by Harrika and Haasine Creations and Geetha Arts, is currently streaming on SunNXT and Netflix. It is simultaneously being remade in Hindi as Shehzaada, featuring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon.
