Alappuzha Gymkhana OTT release date: When, where to watch Naslen’s latest Malayalam film online

Alappuzha Gymkhana, starring Naslen K Gafoor, is one of the most-awaited Malayalam films on OTT. After much speculations about its digital release, Alappuzha Gymkhana is all set to make its OTT premiere. The Malayalam sports comedy, helmed by by Khalid Rahman, will stream on SonyLiv and OTTplay Premium from next week. From the young cast to the vibrant plot, here are all the details of Alappuzha Gymkhana before it makes its OTT release.

Alappuzha Gymkhana: Where to watch Naslen’s film on OTT

Premalu star Naslen’s latest Malayalam film Alappuzha Gymkhana hit theatres on April 10, 2025, as a Vishu release. Now, more than two months after its theatrical release, the Naslen-led film is all set to make its much-anticipated OTT release on Sonyliv and OTTplay Premium on June 13, 2025, the platform has confirmed. 

At this point, it is not confirmed if the Malayalam film will be released online with other language options. But the other recent Malayalam releases such as Maranamass and Bromance on the platform were available in other south Indian languages of Tamil and Telugu.

Alappuzha Gymkhana cast and plot

Apart from Naslen, the film also stars Operation Java actor Lukman Avaran and Janeman actor Ganapathi S. Poduval in key roles. Sandeep Pradeep, Anagha Ravi, Franco Francis, Baby Jean and Shiva Hariharan are also part of the vibrant cast.

The sports comedy film follows Jojo Johnson (Naslen) and his bunch of friends, who fail in their plus-two exams and decide to take part in a boxing competition to secure college admission via sports quota. Lukman Avaran is seen as their tough boxing coach.

Upon its theatrical release in April, Alappuzha Gymkhana had won much love and appreciation from the audience. Though it was released along with Mammootty-starrer Bazooka and Basil Joseph’s Maranamass, Alappuzha Gymkhana won the box office game.

Though Maranamass made its digital premiere on SonyLiv and OTTplay Premium in May, the Mammootty-starrer is yet to drop on OTT. Another Mammootty film, Dominic and the Ladies' Purse, is also yet to confirm an OTT release date, though the Gautham Vasudev Menon directorial released in theatres in January 2025.
